We totally understand the temptation to want all your special details included—initials on one side, a date on the back, maybe even a secret message tucked away. It’s such a lovely idea! But here’s why, at this stage, we only stamp on the front of our pendants.

Each piece we make is stamped entirely by hand. That means we take a little steel stamp, line it up just right, and hit it with a hammer to create a deep, lasting impression in the metal. It’s part of what gives our jewellery that raw, handmade beauty—but it also means the force used to stamp the front will naturally leave a faint mark on the back.

This slight blemish is a normal part of the process, and not a flaw—it’s simply what happens when you use real tools and real hands to shape solid metal.

If we were to then stamp on the back as well, there’s a chance the second hit could push through and mark the front, risking the clean, beautiful finish we’ve just created. It’s incredibly important to us that your piece looks just as lovely as you imagined it, and that means putting all our care and attention into one side—the front.

We know it can be tricky deciding what to include when you’ve only got one space to work with, but we promise it’s worth it. Whether it’s a name, date, or quiet little message, we’ll make sure it looks beautiful and balanced, and that every letter is stamped with love.

If you’re curious, we’ve popped a few photos on our FAQs page to show exactly what the back of a pendant can look like after stamping—just so there’s no surprises.

Thanks for trusting us to create something meaningful for you—we’re always here to help you choose what feels most special to stamp.
