AVAILABLE ROLES
Visual Content Producer
Brisbane · In-studio · Full-time or 4 days (let's talk)
We're KBN Jewellery. We make handmade, personalised jewellery that means something. We started 10 years ago super small and our story is one of growth, good vibes and forever learning.
To keep fuelling that growth, we're looking for someone who loves making creative. The kind of person who can be handed one little necklace and instantly see ten ways to shoot it and advertise it. Who lives in an editing timeline, gets weirdly excited about good natural light, and loves turning their photos into scroll stopping ads.
And we're ready to level up how we look. We've built something warm and real over the last 10 years, and we're not losing a bit of that - but we want to add a more elevated, fun, classy, genuinely cool visual layer right alongside it. Warm and real, and elevated and cool is the brief.
We're looking for a Visual Content Producer to own the day-to-day creation of that content.
What you'll actually do
- Shoot photo and video content in-studio - product, styling, flat-lays, in-the-making moments, and quick lifestyle setups
- Design finished content, not just footage - add text, captions, hooks and simple graphic elements with a strong sense of layout, hierarchy and type. The footage is the raw material; the finished, on-brand piece is the deliverable.
- Produce ad creative - turn a concept into multiple variations and cuts for our paid social, then make more of what works
- Get fresh shots of existing best-sellers and new product additions as they come in - fast, clean, no full production needed
- Run small concept shoots when we have a new ad angle that needs its own imagery (not a full campaign, more like creative-led mini-shoots)
- Assist planning and work into bigger campaign shoots alongside our freelance photographer whenever needed.
What a good week looks like
You're self-sufficient and you produce. As a rough guide: a steady flow of ad ready photo and video each week, a batch of ad-creative variations each week, and quick-turnaround product shots whenever something new lands - without needing a brief spelled out frame by frame. You take a rough direction and bring it back finished and on-brand.
What this role is not (please read this bit)
This isn't a role where every shot is art-directed for you, or where you wait for a detailed brief before you can move. We work fast and loose, and we need someone who's energised by that rather than thrown by it - someone who takes a rough direction and runs with it, and who sees feedback (and data) as fuel, not criticism. If you do your best work inside a tightly-structured, heavily-briefed environment, this probably isn't your dream role - and that's genuinely okay. But if being handed some freedom and trusted to run is your happy place, you'll thrive here. It's a production and execution role for someone who's brilliant at making content, loves a fast turnaround, and is genuinely good with a camera and an editing timeline.
You'll be great at this if you
- Have 3+ years producing ad content for a brand, agency, or e-commerce business (not entry-level - we need someone who can self-direct).
- Are genuinely confident behind a camera - mirrorless/DSLR and phone-native - with a good eye for natural light and simple styling.
- Can edit to a high standard: photo (Lightroom/Photoshop) and video (CapCut / Premiere / equivalent).
- Are a gun in Canva/Adobe design programs, with a strong eye for balance and composition - you can feel when a frame is off, and you fix it.
- Are curious and love to learn from constant, data-driven feedback.
- Have a portfolio that proves you can take one simple product and make ten genuinely different, interesting pieces of content from it.
- Understand ad formats - what makes someone stop scrolling, and why - and are always sharpening this instinct.
- Can carry 2 concepts at once: warm and real, and elevated and cool.
- Are organised, reliable, and happy producing volume without dropping quality.
- Are happy to jump in front of the camera too, not just behind it.
Nice to have
- Experience shooting jewellery, beauty, fashion, or other small/detail product.
- A feel for short-form trends without being a slave to them.
- Comfortable directing others on camera.
The details
- Location: in-studio in Banyo (this is a hands-on role - not remote)
- Hours: full-time or 4 days - tell us what works for you
- Team: small, warm, founder-led; you'll work closely with our founder and our digital marketing lead
How to apply
Send us:
nikki@kbnjewellery.com.au
- Your portfolio.
- Your CV.
- An absolute must so we know you're a gun creative: pick any KBN product and tell us/show us 3 completely different ways you'd shoot and design it into finished scroll stopping content.
We read every application from real people properly. If you're the one who can help us look as good as the jewellery we make, we'd love to hear from you.
