KBN Jewellery was born out of love, creativity, and the desire for flexibility. I’m Nikki—wife to Scott and mum to Milo, Chet, and Aspen. Originally from Newcastle in the North East of England, I now call Brisbane, Australia home. With no family nearby after having our first baby, I needed work that fit around motherhood. At the same time, I was made redundant from my corporate job, which sparked the idea of pursuing something more creative.
My passion for dainty, meaningful jewellery led me to create my first personalised necklace—a simple but special piece featuring my new baby’s name. What started as a personal project quickly turned into something bigger when I opened an Etsy store and saw how much people loved what I was making. From the kitchen table to a home studio and now our very own commercial space, our journey has been nothing short of incredible.
A big part of what makes KBN Jewellery special is our team. We proudly hire mostly women and a lot of beautiful mums, creating an environment that supports flexibility and work-life balance. We know how important it is to juggle family and career, and we strive to provide a space where talented women can thrive while still being present for their families.
Beyond work, we have built a culture of kindness, support, and genuine connection. Most days don’t even feel like ‘work’ because we love what we do and who we do it with. Our team rallies together through life’s highs and lows—celebrating birthdays, babies, and milestones while also supporting each other through tougher times. It’s more than just a workplace; it’s a family.
Over the past eight years, our small but dedicated team has handcrafted over 242,000 pieces, each one made with love and care. We pour our hearts into every piece, knowing they mark special moments in our customers’ lives. What began as a dream has become a reality, and we feel so lucky to create jewellery that holds deep meaning for so many people.
